Twin County Plaza Announces Two New Anchor Tenants

Regency Properties, a commercial real estate company specializing in County Seat Communities, welcomes two new national tenants, Hobby Lobby and Big Lots, to Twin County Plaza in Galax, VA.

“The City of Galax is proud to welcome Hobby Lobby and Big Lots”, stated Galax City Manager Keith Barker. “We value the investments that Regency Properties, Hobby Lobby and Big Lots are making in our community, it only continues to strengthen our retail in the area.  It is unmistakable that Galax is a strong thriving community.”

Hobby Lobby is primarily an arts-and-crafts store but also includes hobbies, picture framing, jewelry making, fabrics, floral and wedding supplies, cards and party ware, baskets, wearable art, home accents and holiday merchandise.  They expect to open their doors in 2021.

“We offer a wide and ever-changing variety of craft and home decor products including many exclusive Hobby Lobby brands,” stated Kelly Black, Director of Advertising. “First-time shoppers will be pleasantly surprised at the store size and the exceptional service provided by our trained associates.”

Big Lots is a discount retailer offering affordable solutions in furniture, seasonal, and home décor, as well as everyday food and consumables products. They expect to have their grand opening in late 2020.

“We are delighted to bring the Big Lots brand to Twin County Plaza”, stated Andrew Regrut, Vice President of Investor Relations for Big Lots. “Through this new store in an excellent center, we look forward to serving and supporting the Galax community.”

Twin County Plaza is fully occupied and is the dominant retail shopping center in the market. There is an outlot available for sale or build to suit.
