Kevin Hammett Headshot

KEVIN HAMMETT, CSM, CLS

PRESIDENT & CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Hammett was appointed President/Chief Executive Officer of Regency on January 1, 2012. In this role, Mr. Hammett has responsibility for the strategic direction of Regency. Mr. Hammett joined Regency in July 2007 as the Vice President of Accounting and Finance/Chief Financial Officer. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana and completed the Harvard University School of Design’s Advance Management Development Program. Mr. Hammett has held professional designations as a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and Certified Management Accountant. He is a member of Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers and is recognized as a Certified Shopping Center Manager and Certified Leasing Specialist.

Chris Lucas

Executive Vice President & General Counsel

Mr. Lucas is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Regency. In this role, Mr. Lucas oversees Regency’s corporate legal strategy, manages legal affairs, executes legal initiatives and projects, and participates in the development and execution of Regency’s strategic plans. He provides legal support and advice on compliance, risk management, corporate governance, and other legal matters impacting Regency’s operations. Mr. Lucas also assists with all aspects of Regency’s commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development, entity formation, transaction structuring, due diligence, and leasing. 

Mr. Lucas has more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions with a focus on transactions involving retail shopping centers. Prior to joining Regency, Mr. Lucas worked closely with Regency for over 25 years, serving as its primary outside legal counsel since 1997. Mr. Lucas was a partner at Bowers Harrison from 1997-2017, serving as managing partner from 2013 until joining Jackson Kelly in 2017 where he was an equity member. Mr. Lucas holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Political Science from Indiana State University. He is a member of the Real Property Sections of the Indiana State Bar Association, as well as the Evansville and American Bar Associations. Mr. Lucas is a member of ICSC and a licensed title agent.

TRACY STUTZ, PHR, SHRM-CP

SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES & ADMINISTRATION

Ms. Stutz serves as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Administration to Regency. She joined Regency Properties in 2015. Ms. Stutz is an experienced human resources professional, with over 23 years of experience. Prior to joining Regency, Ms. Stutz worked with two national companies maintaining an upper level management role. She also holds several human resources certifications including: PHR (Professional in Human Resources), SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resources Management-Certified Professional), and EHRA (Evansville Human Resources Association) member.

Ms. Stutz received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She then continued her education and received her Master in Public Administration from Tennessee State University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Ryan Deeg

VICE PRESIDENT OF property Management

Mr. Deeg has been appointed Vice President of Property Management with responsibility for Regency Properties’ Management, Engineering, and Construction functions.  Mr. Deeg rejoined Regency in December 2021 after previously serving as a Property Manager from 2004 to 2008.  Mr. Deeg has over 17 years of previous experience in Construction and Facilities, both with Regency and two large, regional retail companies.

Mr. Deeg received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana majoring in Management. He has also earned a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana with Data Analytics as his area of concentration. 

Jamie E

jamie edmonson

VICE PRESIDENT OF leasing

Mr. Edmonson, a seasoned real estate professional with more than 23 years of experience in lease negotiations, legal, lease administration, accounting, construction, property management and store operations at Hibbett Sports, Inc. has been appointed Vice President of Leasing for Regency.  Mr. Edmonson will be providing leadership and direction to the leasing team in driving the performance of Regency’s lease portfolio. 

Mr. Edmonson, who joined Regency in June 2021 as the Senior Director of Leasing, received a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Athens State University and is professionally affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Retail Tenants Association.  Mr. Edmonson enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and can be frequently found on the sidelines of his daughter’s competitive soccer games, trying out new restaurants and traveling.

vice president of asset management & finance

Mr. Folz has been appointed Vice President of Asset Management and Finance with responsibility for Regency’s asset management and finance functions. Mr. Folz joined Regency in May 2007 and has over 15 years of progressive experience in the field of real estate at Regency. Mr. Folz has previously held the positions of Senior Director of Asset Management, Director of Acquisitions, Leasing Representative, and Project Manager for Regency during his tenure. Mr. Folz also served as an intern at Regency while completing his college degree.

Mr. Folz received a Bachelor of Science in Business with Distinction from Indiana University with a triple major in Accounting, Finance-Real Estate, and Entrepreneurship. He is currently an alumni coordinator for Indiana University’s Center for Real Estate Studies. He is professionally affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers having earned the designation of Certified Leasing Specialist. He served as the organization’s Indiana Operations Chair for 3 years and Indiana Government Relations Chair for 2 years.  Mr. Folz is a Certified Public Accountant and a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Indiana.
