Regency Properties Acquires Two Centers in Michigan

Regency Properties, a commercial real estate company specializing in County Seat Communities, recently acquired two shopping centers in Caro, Michigan.  The shopping centers will add 115,623 square feet to Regency’s portfolio.

Caro Centre is located at 1534 West Caro Road in Caro, Michigan and is the dominant multi-tenant shopping center in town. The tenant mix at Caro Centre includes Family Dollar, Peebles, Goodwill, and Caro Ace Hardware.  A façade renovation for Caro Centre is scheduled to begin in 2018 and will cost approximately $200,000.

Sugarcreek Plaza is located at 1253 East Caro Road in Caro, Michigan and is adjacent to Wal-Mart.  The 43,916 shopping center features two national tenants: Tractor Supply Company and Save-A-Lot.  Sugarcreek also has a 0.82-acre outlot that is available for development.

“These two properties in Caro are an excellent representation of our focus to be in County Seat Communities, we are excited to expand our footprint in Michigan.” said Jeff Howell, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. “Our plan is to lease the remaining vacancy with a tenant that is a great fit for the shopping center and local community.”
