Regency Properties, a commercial real estate company specializing in County Seat Communities, has acquired two new shopping centers in Michigan. Owosso East and Sturgis Plaza will add a total of 293,967 square feet to Regency’s portfolio.
Owosso East Plaza is located in central Michigan and is a 134,381 square foot shopping center anchored by Tractor Supply. The center is located right off Main Street and is home to Pet Supply Plus, Goodwill, and Dunham’s Sports. There is an opportunity for a 2.5-acre out lot development at Owosso East that would add even more foot traffic to the shopping center.
Sturgis Plaza is located in southern Michigan and is a 159,586 square foot shopping center anchored by Kroger. This center also features some national tenants such as Family Dollar, Goodwill, and Buffalo Wild Wings. Sturgis Plaza has three different outlots that could potentially be developed.
“Michigan has proven to be a great state for Regency to own properties,” said Jeff Howell, Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. “We are thrilled to be able to expand our footprint from 3 shopping centers to 5 with the purchase of Owosso East and Sturgis Plaza.”
