Germantown announces addition of T.J. Maxx

Regency Properties, a commercial real estate company specializing in County Seat Communities, announces the addition of T.J. Maxx to their national tenant lineup at Germantown Shopping Center in Jasper, Indiana.

T.J. Maxx is a national retailer that carries a wide range of merchandise. The TJX Companies is the leading off-priced apparel and home fashions retailer in the U.S and worldwide. Its other subsidiaries are Marshalls, HomeGoods, and Sierra Trading Post in the United States.  T.J. Maxx will occupy approximately 22,000 square feet at Germantown Shopping Center, replacing a portion of Carson’s. T.J. Maxx plans to open its doors in September 2019.

In October 2017, Regency announced the addition of Harbor Freight and JOANN Fabric and Crafts to this shopping center. These two anchor tenants have increased the foot traffic and tenants’ sales over all for Germantown Shopping Center.

“Being able to take a negative store closing and fill the large vacancy with a national tenant the caliber of T.J. Maxx, speaks volume to the type of city Jasper is as a whole,” stated Jim Wittman, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.  “T.J. Maxx will be an excellent addition to Germantown Shopping Center, and we are excited for their future.”

“The support from the community of Jasper to have T.J. Maxx as a new retailer in our city is overwhelmingly positive. While having lost a few retailers over the past 12-18 months, this new addition will be a true asset to our city and our regional shopping,” stated Nancy Eckerle, Executive Director of Jasper Chamber of Commerce.  “Thanks to Regency Properties and their enormous efforts to fill vacancy with tenants that the citizens of Jasper will support.”

There is a limited number of spaces available for lease at Germantown, as well as one development opportunity in the outlot. The center is located directly across the street from Wal-Mart and is the dominant retail center in the market.
