Regency Properties, a commercial real estate company specializing in county seat communities, recently acquired Knox Village Square in Mount Vernon, Ohio. The acquisition is Regency’s second in Ohio, following East Pointe Plaza in Bucyrus.

The 206,972-square-feet center is located at 1500 Coshocton Ave., directly across from Wal-Mart Super Center. It features a diverse mix of national and regional tenants, including JC Penney and Peebles.

Regency Properties plans to renovate the center’s façade, with exterior upgrades expected to be completed by end of the year.

“Mount Vernon’s vibrant economy makes it an ideal community for acquisition,” mentioned Jeff Howell, vice president of acquisitions and business management. “Regency is excited to begin renovation and leverage our expertise working in county seat communities to bring new, nationally-recognized retailers to shoppers in Mount Vernon.”
