A new pool store will open next week in Village Commons Shopping Center on the city’s east side. Darla’s Oasis Pool Store will fill a 3,000 square foot space in the shopping center, between Five Guys and Chopstick House restaurants. A full line of pool supplies will be available, including chemicals for both traditional chlorine and no-chlorine alternative “GO GREEN” systems. Complete maintenance and repair services will also be offered for spas, and in-ground and above-ground pools, including repairs, liner replacements, opening and closing pools.
Darla Kelley is joining Jack and Janie Richards in owning and operating the store. Darla has 19 years experience in the pool industry. The Richards also operate Oasis Backyard Pools in Henderson, Kentucky.
“We will have everything you need to enjoy your pool or spa. Besides all pool supplies, we’ll also have great games and pool toys that make your pool a real source of family entertainment all season long,” said Darla Kelley.
Village Commons Shopping Center is located on the Lloyd Expressway just east of Green River Road. The 197,876 square foot center is anchored by Hobby Lobby, Value City Furniture and Gander Mountain. Evansville’s Regency Properties owns and manages the center.
“Regency Properties has been wonderful to work with. We originally contacted them about a different location, but our leasing representative helped us find a much better space here at Village Commons. We look forward to a long relationship with Regency,” said Kelley.
Regency Properties is an Evansville, Indiana based commercial real estate company that owns and manages shopping centers and properties in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina and Florida.
